Slowing The Spread of COVID-19

SARS-CoV-2,  the virus that causes COVID-19, first identified in Wuhan, China in late 2019, was declared a pandemic by the World Health Organization on March 11, 2020 and has now spread throughout the United States. Less than three weeks later, Precision Genetics submitted an Emergency Use Authorization (EUA) to the Food and Drug Administration to test for COVID-19 infection using polymerase chain reaction (PCR) technology.  Since then, Precision Genetics has been supporting state and local healthcare initiatives focused on public health surveillance and has been able to maintain a steady supply of testing reagents through its priority status with commercial manufacturers.

Under the guidance of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and through its certification as a high complexity CLIA laboratory, Precision Genetics is closely working with organizations and communities to swiftly deliver COVID-19 testing and results on behalf of:

  • Hospitals, Healthcare Systems, and Provider Groups
  • Employers and Employees
  • Academic Institutions

Our priority is the health and safety of our nation and the communities and clients we serve.
