Precision Genetics is modernizing the standard of care through personalized medicine and accessible genetic testing.
Precision Genetics works directly with your insurance carrier to determine coverage of the test. Coverage may vary depending on different plans; but testing is covered by various private insurance, Traditional Medicare and Medicare Advantage plans.
Depending on your carrier, patients may have to cover a portion of the test through a deductible or copay.
Our Billing Process
Precision Genetics will work directly with insurance carrier to provide coverage for testing.
1. Your Provider orders:
Our billing process begins once your provider submits the PGx test order, along with your insurance information or option for self-pay
3. You swab and send:
Once collection is complete, the sample is returned to us for DNA processing
2. We get a prior authorization:
We then work directly with your insurance to submit the prior authorization for coverage (prior authorization is not a guarantee of coverage), and if needed, our team of will call you about any out-of-pocket expense
4. And onto billing:
Once we receive and process your sample, we will submit a claim to the insurance carrier for payment. Once the claim is complete, you may receive a statement with any remaining balance of costs
